San Luis Obispo County Beaches; Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet with local max
sets to 13 feet. Dangerous rip currents will accompany the
high surf.
* WHERE...West and northwest facing beaches of San Luis Obispo
County and the Santa Barbara County Central Coast.
* WHEN...Until 3 AM PDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.
Northeastern Mendocino Interior; Northern Lake County; Southern Lake County
* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph
expected. Up to 60 mph possible over the higher terrain eastern
Lake County.
* WHERE...Lake County, and Northeastern Mendocino Interior.
* WHEN...From 8 AM to 5 PM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward
ridges and exposed coastal headlands.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Gusts
up to 65 mph in wind prone areas including the US-395 corridor
south of Susanville and foothill locations around the Surprise
Valley.

Counties and Surprise Valley California. In Nevada, Northern
Washoe County.

* WHAT...A moderate to long period northwesterly swell will
result in breaking waves of 15 to 20 feet, with the highest
waves up to 25 feet in favored locations, and an increased
risk for sneaker waves and rip currents.
* WHERE...San Francisco, Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes
National Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern
Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast
Counties.
* WHEN...Through late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can unexpectedly run significantly
farther up the beach than normal, including over rocks and
jetties. Rip currents are typically more frequent and stronger
in the vicinity of jetties, inlets, and piers. Swimmers should
always swim near a lifeguard.

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE...Mojave Desert Slopes.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
